John Burningham describes Spring as birds nesting, pigs rooting, lambs playing, ducks dabbling and flowers.
So far, it doesn’t feel like Spring has Sprung in London and although I haven’t seen any rooting pigs, playing lambs or dabbling ducks, I have got some flowers (and I did see some nesting birds in a compost toilet this weekend).
This is the first year we’ve got properly invested in planting some flowers on our balcony and as I have had to be patient with the weather, I have had to learn to be patient with the flowers.
It got me thinking about imagining what your little seed could turn into. So please enjoy ‘Patience’. A very rough, swift, not final story first draft.
It needs to be longer and a lot of refining but it’s a nice place to start.
This is superb 🙏
