Working FAST

and Merry Christmas

As much as I’ve enjoyed slowing down and getting into sewing over the past couple of weeks I still love to get fast and furious with the ink. There’s more than enough space for both in my practice.

At the end of every year, whenever I can fit it in, I sit and paint as many Christmas cards as I can. It’s a great exercise as I just paint whatever comes into my head with no prior sketches and just churn them out. There’s a lot of repeat characters and themes, I usually don’t come up with anything ground breaking but it’s fun! I’ve never scanned them in before, they usually get put straight into envelopes for their new owners but here’s a small sample.

And with that I’m off for Christmas holidays. Merry Christmas!
